Common questions.
Do players or parents pay anything?
No. Viewing assigned installs is free for players — the barrier between a kid and learning their assignment shouldn’t be a credit card, and you shouldn’t have to chase parents for one.
What does “portable” actually mean?
Your playbook lives on your coach profile, not on a specific team. If you switch teams, leagues, or take a year off, your plays, formations, installs, wristbands, and call sheets come with you. Roster changes don’t erase your work.
Can I run more than one team on one account?
Yes. Run varsity and JV from the same coach profile. Each team has its own roster and installs. Share a single playbook across both, or fork plays just for one.
How do players see only their own assignment?
When you assign an install, you pick scope — whole team, a position group, or specific players. Each player opens the app and sees only the installs assigned to them, with the route or block for their position on every play. No other teams, no other positions, no noise.
Is OnChalk Playbooks only for football?
Currently yes — only football.
How is youth-athlete data protected?
Accounts require age 13+. Younger players participate through a parent-linked profile. Data lives on Google Cloud with transit and at-rest encryption. See Privacy for the full policy.
